Privacy policy

How we handle information from this website and from the camera systems we install.

Last updated October 2026. This policy is written in plain English for AI Camera Systems.

Information you send us

When you submit the enquiry form we collect your name, business name, email, phone, suburb and whatever you write in the message, along with your IP address and browser details for spam protection. We use it to answer you and to quote. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking.

Camera footage and events

For customers, recorded footage stays on the recorder at your own site. Our AI layer reads frames from it and stores the events, short clips and alert records it produces on our server in Australia. You decide who receives alerts, and access to your dashboard is limited to the people you nominate.

We may access your system to support it, diagnose a fault or tune detection, at your request or as part of an agreed support arrangement. We do not use your footage to train models for other customers, and we do not share it with anyone except where you ask us to or the law requires it.

Your obligations as a camera operator

If you operate cameras at your premises you have your own obligations: signage, telling staff, keeping cameras out of toilets and change rooms, and treating audio recording much more strictly than video. Rules differ by state and territory. We help you design around them, but this is general information and not legal advice.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets only the session cookie needed for the enquiry form to work securely. If we add analytics later, this page will say so and what it collects.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept while we are in contact and for our business records afterwards. Customer events and clips are kept for the retention period agreed with you, then deleted.

Access, correction and complaints

Email info@aicamerasystems.com.au or call 1300 263 551 to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. If you are unhappy with our answer you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
