AI camera monitoring for Brisbane businesses

Brisbane is home turf. Our own team installs across South East Queensland, then sets up the AI alert layer so after-hours activity at your yard, shed or shopfront lands in your inbox.

Our own team, in your city

For most of Australia we work with a local installer. In South East Queensland, including Brisbane, our own team does the installing. That means one business handles the cabling, the cameras, the recorder, the AI layer and the support afterwards. You are not chasing two parties when something needs adjusting.

You can read how the process runs on the installation page, and see an example job in the case study.

Where the business sites are

Brisbane's industrial and trade activity is concentrated in a handful of places. Rocklea, home to the Brisbane Markets, and nearby Acacia Ridge and Archerfield carry produce, freight and trade suppliers. Eagle Farm, Pinkenba and Hemmant lie near the airport and port. Wacol, Darra and Salisbury have manufacturing and storage. To the north, Brendale and Northgate have a large light-industrial mix, and Fortitude Valley has bars, venues and older commercial buildings.

The Brisbane Markets area is a good example of a place where the working day starts in the dark. Early-morning arrivals and late-night deliveries make a plain "motion after hours" alert less useful than a schedule set to the real quiet window. We set the hours to match.

What the alerts are for

  • Produce and market sites. Stock movement checks, door activity and early activity logs. See markets and produce.
  • Workshops and trade yards. Utes and tools parked overnight. Gate and yard views with an after-hours alert. See workshops.
  • Hospitality in the Valley and along the river. Back lanes, cool rooms and bin areas after close. See hospitality.
  • Storage and logistics. Self-storage and freight depots with several gates. See self-storage.

Climate and storms

Brisbane is humid and subtropical, and summer storms bring fierce lightning. Surge protection on cabling and recorders is worth including, particularly on long outdoor cable runs between buildings. Humidity creeps into poorly sealed housings, so we use weather-rated gear and tidy terminations.

Flooding has affected low-lying parts of the city before, so we avoid mounting recorders and switches low in flood-prone buildings. Heat inside roofed switch cupboards at sites like Wacol is another real issue. Ventilation matters more than most people expect.

Queensland's Invasion of Privacy Act 1971 is, for example, one law that touches on surveillance and recording. This is general information, not legal advice, so check current legislation for your own situation. Signage and telling staff about cameras are sensible basics, and cameras belong nowhere near toilets or change rooms.

What happens first

We ask for your recorder brand and model, a rough site layout and the quiet hours you want covered. Many existing cameras can work with the AI layer, though results depend on the camera and recorder. If a camera is the problem, we will say so and suggest a replacement or a repositioned view. Read how it works, then contact us. If your business also operates on the coast, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast pages cover those areas.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you really install in Brisbane yourselves?

Yes. Our own team installs across South East Queensland. That includes cabling, mounting, recorder setup and the AI layer.

Can you work with the cameras I have now?

Often we can. We need to confirm the make and model of the recorder first, and whether frames can be retrieved securely. Entry-level systems may offer limited features.

Is the flood risk a problem for CCTV?

It can be a planning factor. We keep recorders and switches above likely water levels where we can and use suitable cabling in exposed runs.

How quickly can I see what happened overnight?

The event timeline lists detections with short clips, so you can scan a night's activity in minutes. Alerts by email arrive when a person is detected in the scheduled hours.

Does it identify who the person is?

No. It detects people and vehicles and logs them as events. It does not recognise faces.
